Cotton Sweatshirts were first used as athletic garments in the 1920s and 30s and always featured full length ribknit cuffs and hems, and V-shaped inserts in the neckline. The Wythe Sweatshirt stays true to these details, and adds a subtle curve into the V insert (lovingly called "Doritos" by some vintage aficionados) that gracefully matches the curve of the neckline.
Our crewneck sweatshirt has been a Wythe staple from the very beginning and was one of our earliest products. White we really loved the slimmer, athletic fit of our original sweatshirts, we figured we'd listen to the overwhelming majority of feedback. This new sweatshirt fit features a tighter neckline, roomier sleeves, and removed shoulder seams.
The early inspiration for the FW25 collection was "what astronomers might wear stargazing or watching comets fly by" due to getting caught up in some amazing books about astronomers in the 16th centuries. These books had beautiful paintings of comets and we ran with it. The Comet Kings are a fictional team we came up with through the development process.
